Journey to Denali and the Chena Hot Springs
Brian is a world traveler, adventurer, photographer and published author. He has hiked and photographed the Great Wall in Northern China, explored the czar's palace, the Hermitage, in St. Petersburg, Russia, and much more. He went to Alaska in search of the Northern Lights, but what he found was so much more, and here is the book to take you along with him on this fascinating discovery into what Brian calls the most photogenic State he has ever visited and the best rejuvenating waters he has ever encountered, Chena Hot Springs.

Journey to the Matanuska Glacier
Brian traveled to Alaska in the Fall of 2024 to photograph the Northern Lights. On his way there, he met a fellow photographer who showed him extraordinary photos of the Matanuska Glacier. Brian was astounded to see the incredible phenomenon of blue ice that exists there. Formed from centuries of intense snowfalls from high in the awesome mountains of Alaska, the Matanuska Glacier is twenty-seven miles long, and its unique blue ice is caused by the fact that this ice is so tightly compressed that there are virtually no air bubbles. The result is that the red and yellow from the sun's light is absorbed, but the blue bounces back. In 2026, Brian returned to Alaska for the sole purpose of photographing this phenomenon. Brian's book takes you on another of his exciting journeys, and with his descriptive details, as well as with his artistic photos, you will feel as if you are right there with him.

Chena Hot Springs - Love From Above
Brian traveled to Alaska in late September of 2024 to photograph the Northern Lights. As fate would have it, he was led to the Chena Hot Springs Resort outside of Fairbanks, Alaska, as possibly the best place in all of the U.S. for viewing this incredible light show. While he was able to achieve the goal he had originally set out to accomplish, during the time that Brian was there, he seemed to have discovered another goal. He became fascinated by the story of the Chena Hot Springs and the healing qualities of those waters. Brian was fortunate to meet the owner, Bernie Karl, and he learned that Bernie Karl's vision for this remarkable place is all about healing, physically, mentally, spiritually and metaphysically. These are ideals worth pursuing for anyone. Bernie asked if Brian would write a book that would go along with the concepts that he and his staff pursue at Chena Hot Springs Resort, love. Brian said that he was honored, and he hopes that the lessons he has been privileged to learn as he traveled around the world can somehow be put to use by the visitors who come to Chena Hot Springs in search of their own physical, mental, spiritual and metaphysical needs. Brian says, "If one lesson in my book helps just one person to live a better life, then I will be happy that I achieved what I was asked to do. Welcome to Postcards From Brian
Brian began collecting postcards from his travels early in life. While he found many that were memorable, he was often disappointed in the rarity of artistic ones. He decided to use his photography skills to produce postcards from an artist's point of view. Thus the name, Postcards From Brian.
